Memories

Mom came out tonight to take me to dinner and help me pack up some stuff for the move. It was such a blessing last year to not have to move all my stuff (and I've got a lot of it!). Going through all of my things sent me down memory lane, what has happened in the past two years. I tried to keep a lot of my ticket stubs from concerts and events, pompoms from football games, newspaper clippings of the Gymdogs' successes. Those were great times and I'm so glad I experienced them. But I can't keep ticket stubs forever, so now all I have are memories.

My walls are bare now and it just gets me thinking what I've got coming my way for next year. Sure, I'll still be in Athens, but it still comes with some changes. A lot changed from living in the dorm to moving into an apartment my sophomore year. Groups of friends changed, weekend activities changed, study habits changed. I'm moving into a 2-bedroom apartment in the fall (as opposed to the 4-bedroom I'm in now) and am super excited! My roommate is great! She loves the Lord, is clean, and is just a fun person to be around. I'm also stoked about my own bathroom (big whoop, right? But this is the first time I have EVER had my own bathroom)!! Next year is going to be different, and even though I'm not normally one to do this, I'm embracing the change with open arms.

Senior year is approaching (OMG!!!) and I can't really tell if I'm excited or nervous. With the job market the way it is, people keep telling me, "Stay in school as long as you can!!!" I don't know how much longer I can go with people judging me by a letter and number. But I figure if I can just wow some people with my experience after this internship this summer, maybe they'll be begging me to work for them! Yes?

Long day. Exhausted. Bedtime.
